Switch Off your device and remove the batteries if they are removable and put it on 'hold' mode if possible. Wash your hands and clean the device’s surface thoroughly with a lint-free cloth and keep it handy to absorb excess solution during the installation.

Make a soap solution by mixing thoroughly 4-5 drops of mild liquid soap (baby shampoo recommended) and around 200 ml of water. Avoid using any detergents or washing powder/soaps. Add just enough soap (don't overdo it) so that the skin slides quite freely on the device for alignment.

Identify where each GadgetShieldz skin goes on the device. We recommend starting from the screen portion. Wet all your fingers with the soap solution and starting from a corner, slowly remove one of the GadgetShieldz skins. Tip: Keep your fingers wet whenever handling the skins to avoid fingerprints.

Dip the removed piece into the soap solution completely and remove all the excess solution by sliding your fingers along the skin. Fingerprints on the sticky side, if any, can be washed out during this step. Make sure every part of the sticky side is wet so that the skin doesn’t fold up or stick to itself.

With the sticky side facing down, place the film on the device (using both your hands) as closely aligned as possible keeping the cut-outs (holes) and edges of the skin as guiding points. Then glide it into the correct position with minor adjustments using your fingers for the perfect alignment.

If you are unsatisfied with the alignment of a particular skin, now is the time to remove it slowly and start back from step 4. Once satisfied with the alignment, remove the excess solution and bubbles under the film away from any openings or ports on the device using your fingers first and then a credit card or any similar stiff plastic card. For smaller pieces, use only your fingers.

Absorb the excess solution using the lint-free cloth whenever required. If the skin is moving from its perfectly aligned position, slide it back into place and leave it alone for 5-10 minutes and then gently squeeze again.

Once all the portions are installed with the above steps, keep your device SWITCHED OFF for a period of 24 hrs to let the film set and all the left over moisture to dry out.
